Literature Text

I am beautiful like flowers
That the bumblebees die to sting.
They die to pierce me
So many times over.
But I am beautiful.

I am sweet like powdered sugar
Sweet like the burned sucrose at the bottom of the pan
When you take the cake out.
They use me and then
I am worthless.
But I am sweet.

I am the last piece of candy in the Halloween bag
That nobody wants.
I am the raindrop that cancels elementary school recess.
I hold myself close because no one else cares enough to do it for me
But, somehow, I still manage to feel a little lonesome.
This was about the bullies in my school

I also had questions about the title...the title "So maybe I am a little vain" implied that the narrator MUST be a vain person, a bad person for saying that she's beautiful and sweet.

I don't mean that seriously and I don't exactly mean it in sarcasm...it's sort of showing what she would feel if she were to succumb to the bullies.
